basic channel members still play as rhythm & sound (their dub [as in reggae] project). as a matter of fact, their set at demf last year was really, really nice in the drizzling rain. if you're into dub, there was a nice 6 hr(!) r&s @ paxahau set floating around (found the link: http://sound.modelfruit.com/sets/r_and_s-paxahau8-currents-detroit-03.09.06.zip)

Sorry I missed that one. I was told it was insane.

As far as I know, they still run together the label basic channel and hardwax ek store with daubplates and mastering with their partners.

I guessand even bet, that they keep their live performances rare as hell like UR does and nothing more.

The label basic Channel was an limited imprint up to ten releases (9 have been released and 3 rework editions came out last year) same as Maurizio is strictly limited as well, remeber after years and "the end" with number 6 in 1997 M7 came out....surprisely!

No need to buzz around and create rumors all the time.

Nothing is officially confirmed of a split and closed chapter at all of Mark and Moritz's (Maurizio) life time live and work!

sorry, there's no need to worry.45

http://www.eleventhvolume.com/miscellany/2007/08/04/sad-news

+ D&M was bought out by 2 mastering engineers years ago
+ Hardwax is owned by Mark Ernestus
+ the records were never limited, only the first colored vinyl pressing of each release, then a clear marbled vinyl repress of both the BC and M series was released to mark the end of both series november 2003
