THE MACHINE

This is the highly secretive, Black Planet office/studio located in a 1200 sq. ft. soundproofed loft. It is a very productive room and serves as the nerve center for UR operations.

THE ASSAULT

Since 1991, UR's many live appearances (called assaults) worldwide have cemented the labels place in history. They were the first Detroit based act to actually play techno live and the first group to use a DJ as an actual bandmember! The shows are an exciting blend of man and machine. The bands skill, musicianship, disciplined manners and intelligent interviews have made them and the label some of the most respected ambassadors of "Detroit Techno" all over the world.

THE IMPACT

In rare and carefully calculated interviews Mad Mike spreads UR's message worldwide. The results - inspired youth all over the world form their own companies, industries and opinions based on reality rather than force fed preprogrammed stereotypes. The goal of creating a musically based product that would sell without going through the traditional channels of magazines, radio and TV is realized by cleverly using technology. First by utilizing the power of the fax machine and currently the immense vastness of Cyberspace (the internet). On the net, UR can patrol the world in seconds, reaching millions without middlemen! By the late 1990's, UR reached it's goal of an invisible yet extremely powerful army of members worldwide on schedule (see The Swarm - 101st UR airborne)!

THE FUTURE

UR is an adaptive, mobile and fiercely competitive company not dependent on trends, gimmicks or fads as are other forms of music and their related industries are today. Instead, UR evolves as tecnology evolves and by inspiring youth to create, we actually are ahead of time and make technology come to us. We are confident that this music will without a doubt lead man into the future as it is the only music that can evolve in step with or before technology. Other forms of music and their related industries face certain extinction due to definition and repeated copying for profit! UR and Techno are one in the same - both without definition.

World renowned electronic dance music (often called Detroit Techno) sold in a variety of formats, from vinyl records and CD's to video. Merchandise ranging from T-shirts, caps, jackets, DJ slipmats, patches, stickers, etc. all bearing the infamous UR logo.

A highly efficient, aggressive and very strategic minded unit with an extreme approach to imaging and marketing. We also place special emphasis on product quality and remaining totally independent in order to retain absolute control of the company's image and direction.

Offices/Production Facility

Underground Resistance owns a complete office production studio, currently located at the address above. With a focus on quality, this studio features the latest in music technology along with a wide variety of vintage electronic synthesizers, drum machines and effect units - many of which are now considered classics in addition to the many custom built cases, racks and cabinets that hold this type of gear. This studio (nicknamed Black Planet) has generated a string of classic electronic recordings from its inception and continues to do so today. It is the magic ingredient in Underground Resistance's international success formula and, for trade purposes, is not open for commercial recording.
