Fugitives Play Detroit ? AGAIN!!! Print E-mail

On Saturday, November 25, 2006 the Interstellar Fugitives plan a final assault on Detroit at the legendary club Alvin?s (5756 Cass St.), long a fixture in the underground music scene.  While the Fugitives have made successful live forays into Japan and Europe, this will mark their first attack on US soil.  A mixture of DJ prowess and live band musicality, originating in 1998, today they make an overt run at freeing the minds of local Detroiters.   For those who don?t know, the Fugitives all managed to escape the corporate music scene by producing independent music for independent listeners.  Over the years, fugitive agents and supporters have infiltrated many of those corporate giants and slipped rebel music into the playlists, but as radio becomes more and more at risk of death by homogeneity, and MTV and BET continue to assault the sensibilities of the people, the Fugitives find it necessary to inspire the city that has inspired them.

The lineup, while very familiar to fans who saw them on November 17, is also going to have a few surprise twists and turns to literally "keep you on your feet!"

You?ve been warned.
