Bileebob Talks Phones and Music! |

Shaun Ellis, originally from England, has been in Detroit for the past 3
months or so. His organizational skills have been essential to us here at
UR/Alter Ego as a part of our behind the scenes team.
Bileebob (that's me!) has been working on the final flourishes of the Phony EP. Shaun and I recently visited Lola’s to wrap up a video shoot for “Get A Phone” (you don't know it, but you will!).
Lola’s, a downtown club, is another Detroit gem that features a rotating
stable of DJs spinning classic house. The vibe is reminiscent of, dare I say,
the legendary Music Institute?!? Ok maybe not that
deep, but the venue IS a sweatbox with a clean sound system and hungry crowd-
literally. Lola’s features a kitchen as well, and no cover!

Submerge’s own John Collins rocks the decks bi-monthly. John and
Bruce Bailey rocked the crowd properly that night! If you are a house head, peep this spot
out.
